Lancia Integrale goes from rally rocket to restomod
Manhart

Modern classic restomods are all the rage, with fan favorites from the Eighties and Nineties increasingly being brought up to date with modern power, performance and build quality.

The latest example comes from German tuner Manhart and its take on the rally-dominant Lancia Delta Integrale. Built to compete on the world stage the Integrale was a homologation special that just got faster and faster with each iteration. The earliest cars had 165bhp, while the last Evoluzione II came with 215bhp sent to all four wheels.

Manhart, however, has almost doubled that with its Integrale 400. The two-liter 16-valve turbo engine now produces 370bhp thanks to a range of hardware and software upgrades. Firstly there’s a bigger turbo, racing header and turbo timer for increased boost. Next up are forged pistons, a new camshaft, fuel pump, air intake, radiator and 3.6-inch stainless steel exhaust.

To cope with the extra grunt the five-speed manual transmission is modified with Group N rally-spec internals, KW Variant 3 coilovers are fitted at each corner and bigger Brembo brakes are installed. OZ Racing 17-inch wheels are bolted on and help put more rubber on the road with 205/40ZR17 tyres.

Those dark graphite rims also enhance its stage presence, with the main other rally-bred bolt-on being an adjustable roof spoiler and wrap with suitably sporty decals. The cabin gets a re-trim in Alcantara, plus a short-shifter and a sports steering wheel.

Priced at around £113,000 it looks like a pretty sweet deal. Integrale prices are on the up, with #1 Concours condition cars worth over £90,000, so Manhart is definitely on-trend with this rapid rally restomod.
