Hagerty are once again partners with the Warren Classic and Supercar Show, taking place this year on Sunday 24th September at The Warren Estate, Woodham Walter, Essex.

Ove the last few years, the show has established its place as one of the friendliest car events on the calendar, and for allowing extraordinary levels of access to exceptional motor cars that are rarely seen in the UK.

This year the concours competition includes some exceptional cars. Triumph TR2 MVC575 set a speed record of 124.889mph at Jabbeke on 20th May 1953, and has been described as “the most important and significant Triumph ever built.” Recently restored, this will be one of the most public outings of the car.

Another very special car in the concours is the Alfa Romeo 6C 3000 CM Superflow IV Pininfarina Coupe. This started life as a works racing car modelled by Colli, and placed second in the 1953 Mille Miglia piloted by Fangio. Shortly afterwards, it was sold to Pinin Farina who created a new ‘Superflow’ body ready for the 1956 Turin Show. Used by Farina to display the changes in style, it was rebodied a further three times, finally being shown in 1960 in its current form.

The rest of the concours competition spans classic and sports cars both old and new, from the ex-Bracco/Marzotto 1951 Ferrari 212 Monoposto GP car right through to a Pagani Zonda 760 VR, and a wonderful matching pair of Bentley Continental S1 Park Wards, one coupe, one drophead.

This year the Warren also hosts a celebration of the life of John Surtees CBE, and four of his iconic vehicles will be shown. These are the TS14 Formula 1 car of 1972 driven by Mike Hailwood and the TS15 F2 car from 1972 in which Carlos Pace won at Interlagos. For motorcycle fans, John’s 1960 MV Agusta 4-cylinder GP will be shown alongside his 1949 500xx Vincent Grey Flash, a model on which he scored his first ever win.

The Warren’s appeal is not just in classic cars though, and the show celebrates a diversity of motoring attractions that is unique for a show of this nature. Many modern supercars will be on show, including a pair of Ferrari Enzos, a LaFerrari and a Bugatti Veyron. There will be top fuel dragsters, rally driver Nabila Tejpar in her BRC Fiesta, and YouTube sensation Archie Hamilton with a collection of his cars, all supported by Dub Customs, the well-known modifiers and wrappers. There is also loads to do for families, including stands, live music and, pending CAA approval, a formation air display and a parachute display team drop.

The Hagerty team will be present at the show, so if you are going, please try to find us for a chat.
