The Legends that almost made it small

This year’s Hot Wheels UK Legends Tour sought the most appropriate car from these Isles to be considered for the global final and a chance to become immortalised in miniature – 1:64 scale to be precise – as the next Hot Wheels Legend.

As well as the 10 finalists (including overall winner, the MGB-East of Michael Wallhead) and those that featured in the social media fan vote, there were a huge number of entrants that almost made the cut.

From over 270 entries more than 50 were considered for the final, with Hagerty working with a team from Elan PR on behalf of Mattel to get the list down.

Those shortlisted were sent to Mattel’s design team in the US to make the final cuts. Here are some of the amazing vehicles that were so close to reaching that top ten judging at RADwood. Will they be trying their luck at the Hot Wheels Legends Tour again next year?
