He sounds such a nice down to earth bloke which just makes him so special

Who was responsible for the dreadful music which all but obliterated the Great Man’s utterances?? There is far too much spurious “music” being used in inappropriate places these days. I would much have preferred to hear Sir Stirling without the completely unnecessary “Background Muzak”. Otherwise, as an interview..apart from not hearing the questions..an interesting piece.

Nope, it doesn’t work quite that way. When you have an alarm system, or a moeirotnd alarm, you get a discount on your homeowners policy, which is a PERCENTAGE of the base rate’. If you’re already getting a discount for deadbolts and smoke detectors, the discounts for protective devices don’t stack so you’ll get a bigger discount, but not BOTH. One, or the other. And the discounts are usually 10% to 15% depending on the alarm type, location, and insurance company. If you’re paying $300 for your insurance a year, you’re NOT going to get a $360 discount for having the alarm. Talk to YOUR AGENT, to get ACCURATE numbers for how much the discount would be, on YOUR policy.
