The Goodwood Festival of Speed is upon us, with several spectacular new cars announced, a host of racing superstars, and some amazing cars already winding their way up the famous hill in front of Goodwood House.

The Festival of Speed is a regular fixture in most enthusiasts’ calendars now, but how well do you know the event, and how much attention have you been paying to this year’s stars and metal?

We’ve put together a short quiz to test your knowledge – so you can see how well you know one of the calendar’s most prominent motoring events.

#1. In which year did the first Goodwood Festival of Speed take place?

The first Goodwood Festival of Speed took place in 1993 – and it was a bit smaller than it is today!

Rossi was lucky enough to take Mazda’s 1991 Le Mans-winning 787B up the hill that year.

Peter Stevens was the designer behind the Impreza WRC, the 22B, and the new P25.

#9. How many 500cc Grand Prix motorcycle titles has 2022 Goodwood guest Wayne Rainey won?

Wayne Rainey won three 500cc titles, in 1990, 1991 and 1992.

#10. The AMG One just misses out on having the world’s smallest road car V6. Which manufacturer holds that accolade?

Mitsubishi offered a 1597cc V6 in some Japanese models in the 1990s – 2cc smaller than the AMG One’s (substantially more powerful) unit.
